Choosing The Right Virgin Hair

When choosing the right type of hair, the first thing you want to think about is what type of style you will be getting.

• Indian Hair: Indian hair is generally thick (but not heavy), wavy and full – a good option if you like to wear your hair both wavy and straight because both looks can be achieved with this hair type.

• Brazilian: Brazilian hair is thicker in density than Indian hair. Because of this, you may not want to use as many bundles to create a full look. Brazilian hair is also versatile – it may come straight, curly or wavy.

• Malaysian / Chinese / Russian / European: Though there are slight variations in each, Asian and European hair types are typically sleeker and straighter than Indian and Brazilian hair, and are lighter in density. These hair types are a good choice if you have fine hair and are looking for something that will blend well.

For thick, full hair or if you want to rock a weave that will hold a wave or curl, opt for Indian and Brazilian hair. If you want a sleeker, straighter look, try Malaysian or European hair types.

How To Maintain Your Luscious Lace Closure

http://luscioushaironline.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Silk-Closure.jpg

Maintaining Your Luscious Lace Closure Brazilian human hair extensions and hairpieces are becoming more popular among African American women. If you wear hair extensions, maintenance is very important to preserve hairstyle and for longevity.

Professional stylists strongly recommend high-quality Brazilian authentic extensions compared to other types of non-human hairpieces. You can enhance your hair style by adding a front hairpiece to give your hair and scalp a natural look.

Maintenance of Your  Closure

A lace closure is a hairpiece with attached authentic hair to a piece of laced material. The material resembles human scalp that allows the hair to be parted to form different styles. Hair piece closure can be applied to the hair by a professional stylist or you can learn to do it yourself in the convenience of your home.

There are several techniques and skillful tips for you to maintain your hairpiece closure. Like your natural hair, hairpieces and hair extensions require regular maintenance, including washing and conditioning once a week or every two weeks.

If you need to cleanse your braids, try a dry shampoo product and rinse thoroughly residues from the braids. To keep maintenance to the minimum, protect your hair while sleeping by wearing a wrap, scarf, or bonnet. It helps to protect the hairpiece from shedding hair and preserves the hairstyle.

Advantages of Wearing A Closure

Closures are highly recommended by professional hair stylists for various reasons. One of the advantages of wearing a Brazilian hairpiece is it provides a beautiful and natural appearance. It can be easily parted like your real hair and the base resembles the human scalp. Another advantage for African American women is the hair texture, which is available in kinky, curly, straight, and wavy.

Closures are used by thousands of women for restoration of damaged natural hair. Overtime, your natural hair receives damages from the sun, excessive heat from curling and flat irons, dying, and chemical processing. Wearing a Brazilian hairpiece closure allows your hair to relax and retain its natural oils to restore hair health.

Women prefer closures over other types of extensions because it is 100% virgin hair. With proper maintenance and care, your weave can last for six months. When you purchase high-quality lace closures from respected hair extensions providers, like Luscious Hair, your hair extensions have the potential to last even longer.

Our Luscious Spritz Protects Your Hair Without Hardening It

http://luscioushaironline.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/spritz.jpg

The key to maintaining your natural or virgin hair is to protect it with heat protectant and limit daily heat usage when styling with hot tools. Hot tools can burn your hair and create split ends if overused. Limit your flat iron/curling iron usage to 1-2 times a week.

Our Luscious Defined Spritz gives you a medium hold without that hard, crunchy feel and leaves no-buildup! It also provides heat protection to your hair to protect from it being burnt.

For bone straight styles,  hold the bottle about 5 inches away from hair and spray the Luscious Defined Spritz. Then flat iron the hair from root to tip of hair.

For tighter curls, spray Luscious Defined Spritz directly on the hair pieces, comb through and then wrap the hair around the barrel with your styling tool for about 10 seconds. Then release.

For looser curls, curl your hair first with your curling iron to the desired style. Then spray the Luscious Defined Spritz all over your hair for a long lasting style.

How To Wash Your Luscious Lace Closure

http://luscioushaironline.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Silk-Closure.jpg

In order to keep lace closures looking and smelling great we will need to do some maintenance periodically by washing and conditioning them. The steps below will show you how to maintain its luster and keep it clean without damaging the hair and lace base. Hairpieces are known as lace closures and lace frontal generally. Things You’ll Need: Luscious Hair closure shampoo, closure conditioner, combs. Steps to wash lace closures:

1) Detangling Comb step: Remove all glue and adhesive from the lace and comb out any tangles with a detangling comb before you put the lace closure in water. Be sure to comb out all tangles from the tips to the ends of the hair so you can manage it much easier when dried.

2) Fill the sink half full of water and add a cup full of wig shampoo to the water. Make sure you use shampoo that is especially formulated for human hair lace closures. The water should be cool, avoid to use hot water on lace closures.

3)Soak your Luscious Lace Closure into the water and handle it carefully so you won’t damage the lace base. Gently move it around in the water, then lift it up. Make sure all of the hair is falling in one direction, then dip it up and down in the water a few times to flood it with the shampoo and water. Let it soak for a few minutes then rinse all of the shampoo out of it. If you have a sprayer on your sink use it, otherwise, you can use a light to moderate stream of water to rinse the lace closure.

4)Now you’re ready to condition the lace closure or lace frontal. If you have a double sink, fill the opposite side half full with water. If you have a single sink, drain all of the dirty water and refill it half full with water. Add a cap full of wig conditioner to cool water and mix the conditioner in the water.

5)Soak the lace closure into the water and let it sit. The length of time you should let it sit is based on the type of lace closure you have and the amount of glue and adhesive buildup on the lace. Typically, you’ll need to let curly and wavy lace closures sit a little longer than straight closures.

6)Gently move the lace closure in and out of the cool water. Remove it from the sink, place it on a flat towel, fold part of the towel over the lace closure and gently pat the closure dry. Optional: Spray on a leave in conditioner for lace closures and pat the closure dry with the towel.

7)Let the lace closure air dry by placing it on a closure head. Gently pin it at the front edge in the middle of the closure with a T-pin to hold it in place. Be careful with the pin on the lace. Let it dry outside with slight wind or inside with or without a fan!

Follow these simple and easy steps to make your Luscious 100% Mink Lashes last:

  • Do not perm or tint lashes after lash extension application.
  • Do not use a regular eyelash curler to curl Extensions (you won’t need to curl your extensions).
  • Do not rub your eyes or lashes when washing your face. Clean around the eyes with a wash cloth.
  • Do not pull your lash extensions, as it will take out your own lash as well!
  • Do not go in a Sauna while wearing Eyelash Extensions for at least for 48hrs. Do not get them wet at all for 24hrs.
  • If you choose to wear mascara – only apply to the tips and use water-based mascara that washes off easily.
  • Do not cut the Extensions (you may cut your own lashes).
  • Clean your eye make-up, but be gentle with your Extensions.
  • Never tug, twist, pick or pull at your lashes or extensions.
  • Treat your eyes gently – as if you have makeup on that you don’t want to smudge.
  • Brush and groom your lashes gently with a disposable mascara spoolie or eye shadow brush (best choice).
  • Try to sleep on your back or side, avoid smashing your lashes completely as you sleep.
  • When using night creams/serums, apply sparingly and blot off excess.
  • When you touch your lashes, always use upward, sweeping motions – no side to side rubbing at the lash line.
  • Keep your fingers off your lashes. Everytime you touch them you are transferring natural oil and germs

Tips To Help Your Edge Control Last Longer

http://luscioushaironline.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/edgecontrol-e1496156777191.jpg

Here are a few tips on how to make your Luscious Defined Edge Control last longer:

If you’re ready to have smooth edges, you’ve got to pay close attention to how you use your edge control products. While some women just put a few dollops on their fingertips and smooth across the edges, this is not always the most efficient method.

If you want your edge control for natural hair to work well, you’ve got to use more than the edge control product. Tools of the trade include a soft toothbrushand/or regular boar bristle brush, an oil of your choice, a satin head scarf, and your favorite alcohol-free edge control product.

  • First, apply a leave-in conditioner or cream to your edges and your favorite oil.
  • Then, implement your Luscious Defined Edge Control to your hair. Using your toothbrush, push back the hair that has the product on it. This step will help smooth out the product on your hair.
  • Finally, tie your head scarf around your head. Leave the scarf in place for at least 15-30 minutes. This will help your hair dry and keep your edges smooth.

How To Take Care Of Your Luscious Lace Frontal Wig

We have provided some tips on how to maintain your Luscious Hair Lace Frontal Wig!

Shedding on a lace wig is to be expected due to the fact that the hair is hand tied by a single knot (sometimes a double knot) to the lace material. To ensure that shedding is minimized, Luscious Hair uses a technique of infusing a small amount of glue with the knot to further secure and fortify. While, this does not completely eliminate the problem of shedding, it does significantly minimize excessive knot slippage. Excessive shedding can cause thinning of the hair and bald patches on your unit. To minimize these effects it is very important that proper care be taken at home during combing, styling and everyday use. Below are things to avoid.

  1. Combing your lace wig while it is still wet after washing and conditioning
  2. Roughness while combing and washing/handing your lace wig
  3. Using very oily or greasy haircare products on your unit
  4. Not thoroughly removing adhesives from your unit prior to washing
  5. Using hot or very warm water when washing your unit
  6. Combing your wig from root to tip instead of from tip to root.
  7. Do Not Scratch your scalp through your lace wig as this will cause shedding. Instead, pat your head with your hand or remove your unit and treat your scalp with anti-itch shampoo and then moisturize your scalp.
  8. Use a wide tooth comb or wig brush (cushion brush). Comb from the tip up while holding the hair above so that you will avoid pulling at the knots.
  9. Never comb your lace wig while wet. Prior to washing the hair make sure you comb it out thoroughly.
  10. Avoid using care products with high Alcohol content i.e Spritz, Hair Spray, Shampoos etc. These products can damage the hair causing breakage and/or shedding.
  11. You must thoroughly remove glue residue from our wig. Letting adhesives build up on your unit will cause shedding
  12. Do not Blow Dry or Sit under a dryer with heat. We highly recommend letting your unit air dry after washing. If you must brow dry, make sure it is on a cool setting. Blow Dryer heat will damage/Split the knots causing shedding.
  13. When sleeping in your unit it is best to braid up your hair so it does not tangle while you sleep. You should gently comb your unit out each night prior to wrapping it up in the scarf. Also it is very important that you wrap a silk or satin scarf or bonnet around your head, this will help to prevent friction which will cause breakage and/or shedding.
